“You have heard about it! You have read about it! You have asked about it!”

I grew up listening to a commercial on television of a man shouting breathlessly, “You have heard about it! You have read about it! You have asked about it! This is it! This is the place! There is no more land being made!” who went on to invite people out to Mauriceville to look at lots that he was selling. I thought that was overkill, until I read the following article.

I must say, the Gospel of pragmatism has reached a new low.

    Interesting article

That commercial was the voice of Sid Johnson. He was the father of a classmate of mine Sandra Johnson Head. She is also in real estate today.

Hope all is well with you & yours. C

Ah, yes! I remember good ‘ol Sid Johnson. That commercial will be burned in my brain until the day I die. (as will the voice of Clifton Caraway, Caraway Motor Company in Silsbee).

Wow. That will get people in church at Easter the same way Oprah gets audience members in December.
