Back Home Again

I spent last week at the Banner of Truth Ministers’ Conference in Grantham, Pennsylvania, and received a great blessing from the preaching of God’s Word, and the warm fellowship of other pastors. The conference brochure is found at: http://www.banneroftruth.org/images/events/2009MinConfBrochureFINAL.pdf. It was also wonderful to be a part of over 300 men joining their voices together to praise their Lord by singing the theologically rich psalms and hymns which have been an integral part of the worship of God for hundreds of years. (Needless to say, Shine, Jesus, Shine did not make the list!)

Lord willing, in the next day or two I will begin posting a little more regularly to this blog, but until then, let me leave you with this quick thought: In the same way that the Lord graciously blessed the children of Israel with “great and good cities that [they] did not build, and houses full of all good things that [they] did not fill, and cisterns that [they] did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that [they] did not plant” (Deut. 6:10-11), He has blessed us with “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:3-6) Live your lives today for His glory, resting in His marvelous grace in Christ!
